FAQ’s
1. Which subjects does Second School teach? Which boards and which classes?
Second School presently teaches only Maths and Science. Since our focus is to foster a love for the subject, we cover classes between 4th and 10th. The schedule for launch of subjects in different boards is provided in the Products tab.
2. There is no Second School near my residence? Is there a transport system available to take my child to a nearby center?
No, we do not provide transportation. However, we do encourage you to write in, since there may be others in your neighbourhood who may be interested in a car pool.
3. I am not ready to send my child to Second School but do want to assess her performance. Can I use the Smart School system in some way?
Yes, by registering on the site, your child will be able to take the assessment online. However, the diagnostics will be partial since it will not be possible to get all the elements from the online test.
4. What are the fees for Second School?
Fees are Rs. 15,000 per subject per year for the first subject and Rs. 10,000 for the second subject for the year. Fees can be paid for the complete year, or in two or four instalments. We run scholarship exams at the beginning of the year, which can give you access to fee waivers upto 80%.
5. If my child needs additional support and requires special classes, what is the fee? I also want to access reports and materials online. How much will that cost?
It is our belief that once your child is registered with Second School, his/her performance is our responsibility. There are hence no additional charges for special classes or for online resources. The regular fees cover these charges.
6. As a parent I would like to only teach my child. Can Second School help?
Yes. We have a special program for Parents who want to teach their own children. Please do write into us queries@secondschool.in and we will get in touch with you to explain the process.
7. Can my child join in the middle of the school year?
Yes. Your child will go through an assessment process for the areas that are already covered and may need some extra classes to catch up. These classes may be separately charged.
