Regular Assessment and Reporting
SecondSchool provides a short 20-25 minute test at the conclusion of each chapter using Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ’s). Answers are filled into Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets. These sheets are then processed at SecondSchool. Results are available online immediately. Developmental Reports are printed out for each student to be sent home.
Minimal Teacher Effort
Effort by teachers is minimal since SecondSchool arranges for the question papers and corrects the answers along with detailed analysis. Teachers can quickly identify areas of weakness in their class and can take appropriate corrective action.
Extensive Analysis
Analysis is provided on multiple levels
- Topic-wise analysis. Based on performance on topics within chapters
- Category-wise analysis. Based on performance on Recall, Mechanics or Applications
- Mistake-wise analysis. This is based on the distracter selected. If a student gets an answer wrong, their selection of the incorrect option can be tracked. While this analysis is not foolproof (since a student who is not sure of an option may simply tick one at random), over time it provides an excellent picture of a students’ weaknesses
- Question-wise analysis. This is particularly useful when understanding possible areas of focus for the class as a whole.
All this analysis is available online through a variety of reports. At the heart of this is the ‘Developmental Report’ that is provided to each individual, and identifies clear areas of improvement.
Customization
Teachers can modify or create new questions and test papers, or draw from the extensive question bank to create question papers instantly.
Simple Administration
Once the question papers are selected, they can be printed out at the school or can be ordered from SecondSchool. SecondSchool will provide the OMR answer sheets, arrange to have the answered papers picked up. The results will be available online within 48 hours of pickup and printed reports will be delivered within 72 hours.
